Default Full Molecular Jacket

From Detailed Image:
Full Molecular Jacket is one of the premier sealants on the market today because it has everything you would want in a sealant. First and foremost the shine left behind is remarkable and show car worthy. It gives tremendous gloss and depth that are normally only possible by using carnauba waxes, that traditionally offer very little protection. The stunning shine is only equaled by the amazing protection it provides. The protection comes from the polymer’s adhering so well to the surface to form an invisible barrier protecting your clear coat. This sealant is designed to resist more than just rain, it will protect your vehicle from UV rays, acid rain, “ocean air”, pollution, snow, ice, abrasions and more. Full Molecular Jacket is also one of the easiest products to apply and remove. While applying and removing the sealant you can feel how smooth it is and understand why it leaves such a remarkable shine. The surface will feel extremely slick which matches the “wet” look it gives off. Full Molecular Jacket has the ultimate combination of shine, protection and ease of use. Upgrading to the 32oz size of this product makes perfect sense because it’s the sealant of choice that is going to protect and shine your vehicle for years to come.

Default FMJ should stand for Full MIRACULOUS Jacket

An excellent product. I was very apprehensive about leaving my black car in my wife's care while I went away for business for six months this past summer, since I knew I couldn't count on her to do more than give it a spraying every once and awhile. Two coats of this easy-on, easy-off product produced a deep gloss and a super-smooth surface (the car was two months old when I left, so no real paint prep work required other than a good wash). My experience with carnauba waxes and other polymer paint sealants didn't give me great hopes for what I'd find when I got home. Imagine my surprise when I returned from my absence to find that water was still beading nicely six months later! No etching from bug splats or bird crap, either. Topped with a layer of good quality carnauba wax, this gives me a finish that even fellow new black car owners drool over. Seems to protect pretty well from abrasion as well. My car was recently covered in gravel dust, and some a$$hat decided to use his finger to rub a line in some frost that formed in it. I was expecting to see painfully obvious micro-scratches in the clearcoat, but surprisingly enough, they were not nearly as bad as I expected... they were there, but probably only I would notice. I plan on doing a full wash, clay, polish with PC7424 and FPII, then seal and wax in the next week or so.... will post results.

Cheers,
Snort

This is a must for all you detailers out there. FMJ is easy to apply, just put some on your PorterCable and it goes on easy. The best part is wiping it off with a MF towel and having the towel slide off your car. Even on the "even" surfaces, the towel seems to find a way to slide off this slippery product. Even without a PorterCable, this product is so easy to apply, it only takes an half an hour to apply. It's not hard to apply such as your regular carnuba wax. The results are even more amazing when you see your car shine. The only downside is that it is a pricey product, but well worth it. Overall, a definite keeper in my arsenal of products.

For a winter season in snow country where car washing can be as long as several weeks (using a wand at car wash) how many extra coats would be worthwhile?

Sorry, can't help you there. Ditto on the slick removal. It's almost fun. It feels really cool when you've let it sit awhile. If you don't let it sit long enough, though, it's almost hard to remove

So I've already applied two coats of FMJ over the past 2 days to my mom's suburban. About a week ago she broke the driver's side mirror, and told me to gorilla glue it back together. I glued it on yesterday afternoon, and before it could dry she drove it somewhere. Some of it slung out onto the paint, and I noticed it today and almost pulled my hair out. This is the cool part: I walked up to see if it was dry, which it was, and I used my fingernail to try to slide it under the glue. The glue peeled right off, no problem, absolutely none stuck to the paint. I was very impressed. If this product can withstand Gorilla Glue, I give it a 11/10.

I agree. It comes off effortlessly and leaves the smoothest finish.

I've got two sucessive coats on both my Orient Blue '01 Bimmer and my '07 Light Silver Audi. Of course the dark blue of the Bimmer shows the efforts of a keeping the car detailed with FMJ, but the silver also shows the benefits of this great product. I applied FMJ to both cars with a PC white pad, and removed with MF. Once you get the pad loaded, it takes very little product for coverage. Let stand on a warm day in the sun, and FMJ wipes off with stunning ease. It won't bead like a high-end carnuba wax, but it will far out last same.

Like others have said. even an MF towel will slide off the hood or trunk. FMJ has a very slick finish that given a proper wash will remain slippery for at least a few months. FMJ does benefit in depth, shine, and beading from a quality detail spray between washes.

FMJ gives superior results and is completely stupid proof in both application, and removal.

FMJ has 0 correction so it won't wear down the texture of trim pieces. It hasn't left any white "staining" on the black bits. It will turn your white pad grey if you hit your black trim during application.

Frankly I use FMJ as an all-in-one, all-over-the-place exterior protectant.

It's pricey, but once you get your car protected, I'd say reapplications will be around three times a year.

Is it adviseable or necessary to apply wax over FMJ?

Probobly the most user friendly LSP I've ever used. There isn't another product I've used that will remove this easily and SUPER SLICK. My tests showed about 3 months durability. Above, no I would not put a wax over FMJ.
