With P21S Concours Carnauba Wax, gone are the days when buffing the haze off the car made waxing an ordeal.
When I first used the P21S wax, I thought something was wrong because such a small amount of wax adhered to the applicator after rubbing it in the jar. Although a jar of the wax is fairly expensive compared to entry level waxes, the cost per application is not. A little goes a long way. I apply the wax with a foam applicator pad, and buff off the haze with a microfiber cloth. I have found that buffing the wax after doing one panel, or half of the hood, works best. Waxing in the hot sun makes buffing a lot more work, so I try to wax in the early morning or in the evening, or in my garage (I prefer to detail outside). I have a light blue car. The P21S wax gives the finish a really nice shine. I apply a new coat of wax about once a month. The only problem I have found with P21S Concours Carnauba Wax is that I like it so much I do not like to experiment with other waxes. Update 10/07/07: Since posting my original review, I have used quite a few more waxes. I still really like P21S Concours. It is very easy to apply and buff, and leaves a really nice gloss. It is a very good value. It does not, however, give the paint a deep, wet look like some of the more expensive waxes I have used. That may be why this wax tends to be recommended by many reviewers particularly for light colors of paint. | ||||||||||||||||||

I recently used this product for the first time and was very happy with it. As Dogged said, a little goes a long ways. I really liked how well it applied and how easy it was to remove.

P21s is probably my favorite wax for use on light colored cars. It has a very nice gloss look to it and it is very easy to use.
On darker colors, it is a decent wax, but you will get better results from Pinnacle Souveran, Blackfire Midnight Sun, etc. If you do use it and a darker finish, I would use a really good hand glaze and then a good polymer sealant before applying the P21s. Standing alone on a darker finish, it does not live up to it's expectations, IMO. Overall, a good wax and very easy to use! |
