i actually had the opportunity to meet the guy who formulated the platinum line of products, he is the same guy who formulated the ice line of products. i told him that i wasnt a big turtle wax guy and that the only product i cared for is the spray detailer(platinum). he actually agreed that the platinum series is of better quality but cannot be applied in direct sunlight like the ice products.
