A good wheel sealant. I have no negative comments on this product. I have, and used 2 jars already. Very nice all around wheel sealer. Lasts a good bit of time, though it would be nice it it lasted longer. Stands up to the elements and helps keep Brake Dust to a minimum.
I give this product an 8 out of 10. Tex Star Detail |

I really like this product as well. I actually use to make fun of “Wheel waxes” until I got a new BMW and was quickly annoyed by the amount of brake dust and effort to clean the wheels. I heard about the Poorboys wheel sealant online and thought I would give it a try. Man was I surprised by the results. It goes on quickly and wipes off easily. It will even remove small stains and minor caked on brake dust. Two coats really makes the wheels shine and it truly repels some brake dust. Washing is much easier now as well. I highly recommend using this product.
PS – it smells good too. |

This is the first wheel sealant I have ever used, so I don't have any product to compare to. But this will probably be the only wheel sealant I use as I am amazed at the results. The wheel has a deeper shine and is super smooth, sometimes it feels better than my car, and I wax my car weekly, so that's saying something right there. It's very easy to use, just get a MF applicator and get some product on the pad, then just wipe it around the rim.
I can tell that the rims are much easier to clean and puts a nice layer of protection on my rims. Great product, thanks DU for carrying it. ![]()

Just a short review of PB Wheel Sealant
- Application : Just like any sealants, I usually apply 1 coat, let it haze, wipe off, then immediately follow up with a 2nd coat to allow full coverage. Then I let those 2 coats fully cure, which takes around 24 hours. After curing, I apply 3rd coat, let it haze, wipe off. - Result : I wash my car weekly (which includes cleaning wheels, with dedicated wash mitt using car shampoo), and wash my wheels separately about every 3~4 days. PB wheel sealant lasted about 3 months. - Thoughts : 1) It's a nice product indeed. Cleaning wheels can be a tough job (using abrasive/acidic product, along with some elbow grease) when you don't have decent protection on them. PB WS makes cleaning wheels so easy. A simple QD job would make your wheels clean again. 2) Based on my experience, you need to apply it very thin. When applied too thick, I had a tough time removing each layer. Unlike other products, PB WS was noticeably harder to remove when applied too thick.

Keeping BMW wheels clean is a PITA. I applied 1 coat on first wheel, let it sit while I applied it on the other 3 wheels, then removed the coat starting with wheel #1 and working upto #4. Repeated the step to get 2 coats to ensure 100% coverage.
I spray the front wheel with water everyday after work at low pressure so I dont get water on the car, and most of the dust washes off. This product has definetly made my car look cleaner longer!! ![]() ![]() I will try Derek's method of 3 coats in a couple of months when I get my car winter ready.

I used PB's Wheel Sealant after I got a new set of rims for my BMW. This is also the first wheel sealant product I have ever used. Just like everyone mentioned, after application, cleaning the wheels was a very easy process. I only wished I had kept my original OEM wheels to try it on, so I could truly compare the before and after difference when it comes to cleaning. Still, 2 months later, brake dust is still very easy to wipe off. How a product can continue to protect after so many washes, especially on the conditions a wheel is subjected to, simply amazes me.
My only noob mistake was that I used like 10x the amount of product I needed, even though I only applied a thin layer on the wheels. When I went to clean out my foam pad, I could not believe how much excess product I squeezed out, when compared to waxes. That's because I applied it at night in insufficient lighting, so could not really see if I coated my wheels or not.
