Default My Armor All Combo

This is my tire and well treatment. This is done an initial full detail to properly clean and treat a tire for maintaining. I get 2 weeks durability out of this combo as well. The next cleaning is a breeze as well.

  1. Clean the tires and wheels well with a strong degreaser and brush.
  2. While still wet, spray Armor All's Tire foam onto tires and wells.
  3. Let product sit for about 15 minutes. Armor Tire foam has some of the best rubber cleaners I've seen to date.
  4. Take an MF towel or mitt (my preference) and wipe the tires and wells down. You will notice the cleaning power on your towel!
  5. Last, coat the tires in a layer of Armor Tire Gel Extreme Shine. The product will dry in about 10 minutes. The shine will also intensify in about 5 minutes so wait before applying more.

Examples.......

Well thank you!

I and my customers like the look. Very inexpensive too. The faom is 2.67 a can at Wal-Mart and I can do 4-5 SUV's.........tires and wells.......out of one can.

The gel is 5.99 a bottle and I have gotten 50+ uses out of one bottle. A little goes a long way.

Good info Justin, I know others that have had good luck using Armor All on tires and wheel wells.

I've used Armor All tire products and dislike the sling. I love the amount of shine it gives off, but it slings like mad for me.

I will try Justin's method I think it will work well. I already use Armor All Extreme Tire SHine gel with excellent results.

Looks great but what do you do about over spray? Applying the dressing to the tires using a sprayer is bound to get on your paint

Aside from sling, it seems like the gel doesnt really dry to the touch and leaves a greasy residue behind which will attract dirt? I cant really tell from the pictures. Isnt the tire gel also solvent based, not water based?

i found AA to be really greasy. but i guess the trend now is to use tire coatings on wheel wells. i kind of feel foolish for buying a big jug of chemical guys undercarriage spray and never tried Simple green with a sponge or brush...

I clean my wheels and wells first using a sponge and THEN apply Adam's Undercarriage Spray (similar to CG Bare Bones). Adam's is more a dressing and not a cleaner. You can dilute it if you want. Aerosol foam is not cheap either. I had some Meg's Tire Shine and it did go very far in uses.

I picked up some PB's Bold and Bright last week that I plan to use on wheel wells. It may be a bit cheaper and supposedly has cleaning properties. It also has a nice tropical scent (already sniffed it).

With AA foam, there is no sling. After it dries, I just go back with a dedicated MF mitt to wipe off any residue and to level out any high spots. At 2.37 a can (you never have to fill up any bottles), it's a deal and it really lasts 2-3 weeks. I've used it for 3 years now.
