Read First: Recommended guidelines to posting a review

Picture of Product :
- We encourage you to take a picture of the product used and post it to show other members what the product looks like.
- If you plan on using a manufacturers picture directly off of their site, please ask them for permission prior to using the picture.

Product Name :
- List the full name and abbreviation of the product.
- Example : Poorboy's Spray and Wipe (PB S&W).
- Using both the full name and abbreviation is useful since a lot of detailing forums use the abbreviations.

Product Rating:
- Please fill out the 4 categories rating them 1 - 10 (1 being the lowest and 10 being the highest) and check off the save box

MFG Claim :
- Direct copy and paste from either MFG or one of vendors, using quotation marks for quoted material.
- It doesn't necessarily have to be full copy and paste. A short one is fine, but hopefully, not in your words.

Price / Price per application :
- Please list the quantity, price and price per ounce.
- Just giving members a ball-park figure on the price would be great.
- The price per application is also helpful.

How I used :
- Summarizing the instructions on the product label would definitely help.
- Explain, hopefully in detail, how you used the product. If other tools were used, list them.
- This portion can have pictures demonstrating how you used the product.

Overall thoughts :
- This portion should be most extensive.
- First of all, you should have enough experience with the product, or should at least know how the product performs.
- It is useful to summarize the extent to which you have used the product. and to list any similar products you have used.
- Compare your experience with what MFG claims, listing pros and cons.
- If you have used similar products, such as Menzerna Final Polish II and Menzerna PO106ff, it can be useful to comment on how the product being reviewed compares to similar products, but the review should not become primarily a product comparison. The focus should be on the product you are reviewing.
- A discussion of how easy or hard it is to apply the product, and application tips, can be useful.
-Consider addressing, if applicable, whether you think the product works better on lighter or darker paints or on metallic paints.
-Specifying other examples may also be useful

Pictures of result :
- I realize you can’t have pics for every detail you’ve done. So if you have one, that’s great; if not that’s okay too.
- Before/After pictures are also very helpful.

Tips / Other notes :
- Well, the more experience you have, the better you will be at using a product. You can list some tips when using it, and list other notes that are worth mentioning.
- Would you purchase and use this product again and why?

These are suggested guidelines to follow. We are trying to promote an effective way to standardize means of assessing products and felt that these covered all of the major points we would like to see when writing a quality review. Here is an example of a review to follow: Zaino Clear Seal. If anyone has any other suggestions to add to the list, please contact me, we'd love to hear your feedback.
