Similar to best of show, concorso gives a deep wet finish with good reflections.
Its beading isnt as tight as with zymol concours with one coat, but it is one of the best waxes on the market. It smells amazing too.

It is easy to use by hand and a small amount goes a long way. Its my go to wax.

Use swissvax cleaner fluid before applying wax.

Swissvax Concorso product shot

Manufacturer claims.

The Swissvax website describes Concorso as follows: “Our famous show wax for a deep, wet ‘show car’ shine. Enriched with tropical oil extracts and containing 51% by volume ultra pure Brazilian grade one non-bleached and yellow carnauba wax, 'Concorso' wax gives your paintwork a lustre ordinarily encountered only on prize-winning classics. Use after Cleaner Fluid wax pre-treatment.”

Cost

Concorso costs $225 for 200ml ($29.42 per oz). Concorso appears to be the same product as Best of Show sold in Europe. Swissvax offers the following waxes in North America for the following prices (all 200 ml, except the Divine):

Onyx $79
Saphir $129
Scuderia $129
Zuffenhausen $129
Shield $199
Concorso $225
Mystery $549
Divine $2,500

Concorso certainly qualifies as an expensive wax. To put the cost of Concorso in perspective, here is a comparison of the cost of the most expensive waxes from Swissvax and Zymol:

Zymol Concours ($164 for 8 oz = $20.50 per oz)
Swissvax Shield ($199 for 6.7648 oz = $29.42 per oz)
Swissvax Concorso ($225 for 6.7648 oz = $33.26 per oz)
Zymol Italian Estate ($360 for 8 oz = $45 per oz)
Zymol Destiny ($486 for 8 oz = $60.75 per oz)
Swissvax Mystery ($549 for 6.7648 oz = $81.74 per oz )
Zymol Vintage ($1,852 for 22 oz = $84.18 per oz; up to $1,973 89.68 for 22 oz = $89.68 per oz; free refills for noncommercial use)
Zymol Royale ($7,583 for 50 oz = $151.66 per oz, free refills for noncommercial use)
Swissvax Devine ($2,500 for 13.5296 oz = $184.78 per oz)

In the UK, Zymol is substantially more expensive than in the US, and is more expensive than the Swissvax counterparts, because Zymol is priced in roughly the same number of British pounds as in US dollars. This is a cost comparison of Swissvax Concorso and Zymol Concours in the UK:

Swissvax Concorso £119.00 = $239.846 USD ($35.46 per oz)
Zymol Concours £166.00 = $334.575 USD ($41.82 USD per oz)

Product Instructions for Swissvax Concorso.

1. Apply directly onto the paint finish using the palms of your hands. Warm up the wax by rubbing with your fingertips, and pick up a very small amount of wax and rub it into your palms.
2. With gentle pressure and a circular motion of both hands, apply wax onto a small area (1m²) to create a uniform wax film on the paint finish.
3. Let stand for 10 minutes.
4. Buff briskly to a high gloss with a clean terry cloth towel; turn cloth frequently to expose a clean surface. Or use our wax microfibre cloth.
5. Do not touch the paintwork for three hours. If possible, leave the vehicle in the sun after waxing. You will notice that the luster continues to deepen during this period.
6. If necessary, buff the surface again quickly using a clean towel or our wax microfibre cloth.

Prepping the paint before applying Concorso.

Swissvax recommends prepping the paint using Swissvax Cleaner Fluid. I purchased some Cleaner Fluid, but did not use it. A couple weeks ago I used a clay bar, polished with PO106FF with an Orange LC pad and buffed it off, and then applied Jetseal109. Before applying the Concorso a couple of weeks later I simply did a wash and dry.

Method of Applying Concorso to the Car.

Swissvax recommends rubbing Concorso on the car using the palms of both hands. I tried that, but thought I was wasting too much of the product. I used one palm like an applicator pad, and rubbed the Concorso on the car with that hand. That method was still a hand application but used less product. After applying Concorso to the entire car, I let it sit for about 10 to 15 minutes and then buffed off the haze with a microfiber cloth. I then let the car sit in the sun for three hours, and then buffed the car again with a microfiber cloth.

Ease of Application.

Applying Concorso by hand is more work than using an applicator pad. Buffing the haze was not hard, but it was not easy either. It is quite a bit more work than buffing the haze left by P21S Concours. It is a lot more work than buffing the haze left by any sealant I have used. Buffing the car after it was in the sun for three hours was very little work. There was no apparent haze to buff. It may have been unnecessary, but what the heck.

Comments.

After reading the review by picus of Concorso, I could not resist trying it. At $225 for 200 ml it is many times more expensive than any other wax I have used. I am storing it in the refrigerator. After looking at the wax, I was skeptical. It does not look like anything special. Using the product, however, made me a convert. Now I am a believer. It's good that one jar will probably last me at least several years.

I am stunned by how nice the paint looks after applying Concorso. It has a wetter look than any other product I have used, and a high degree of shine and reflectivity, almost a shimmer. It is hard to capture the look in photos since so much depends on lighting and other factors, particularly with a lighter color car like mine. It was a cloudy day today, very overcast. These are photos of the car taken in those conditions after applying Concorso. The last photo, of the rear of the car, probably best captures the gloss and shimmer that Concorso can produce even for a lighter car like mine.

The beading produced by Concorso is exceptional, better than any product I have used to date. Here are a couple beading shots:

It will be interesting how long the Concorso effect will last.

Concorso love it, leaves a great deep, wet, gloss.

Not the easiest to use out of the bunch but certainly a great wax.

The application is not my favorite of the line but its my go to.

Here it is on blue

Here is is on silver
