I started detailing cars back in high school for some spending money. Back then I was old school no fancy waxes or polishes and I used a wool pad on a rotary style buffer. Fast forward about 16 years and I still have my old rotary but I have upgraded a bit to better products and foam pads. For the last 15 years or so I have really only worked on my own cars. I recently had some ask me to do a couple cars for him and one thing lead to another and now I have more people wanting me to detail their cars. It has now kind of sparked my interest in detailing again and I have been reading some forums like this one.
Here is my question it seems that a lot of people lseem to like the porter cable 7424. I dont have a problem with my Hitachi rotary (min. speed is 1400 rpm). Would I get better results in finishing with the porter cable? I have no problems using a rotary I am just looking for the best results. Thanks for any input |
