Default PC 7424 question

I started detailing cars back in high school for some spending money. Back then I was old school no fancy waxes or polishes and I used a wool pad on a rotary style buffer. Fast forward about 16 years and I still have my old rotary but I have upgraded a bit to better products and foam pads. For the last 15 years or so I have really only worked on my own cars. I recently had some ask me to do a couple cars for him and one thing lead to another and now I have more people wanting me to detail their cars. It has now kind of sparked my interest in detailing again and I have been reading some forums like this one.
Here is my question it seems that a lot of people lseem to like the porter cable 7424. I dont have a problem with my Hitachi rotary (min. speed is 1400 rpm). Would I get better results in finishing with the porter cable? I have no problems using a rotary I am just looking for the best results.

Thanks for any input

I like to take out major swirls with a rotary and then finish off with the PC.

Ditto to what everyone else has said! Get the major scratches and swirls out with the rotary and then finish with the Porter Cable. Good luck on your new business!
