Default Vac 'n Blo

From Detailed Image:
The Metro Vac N Blow is the premier vacuum cleaner for automotive detailing. This vacuum has the rare combination of being super powerful, loaded with attachments, compact, light weight and easily portable. The extremely powerful 4 horsepower motor has 95" of water lift (the standard measure for a vacuum’s efficiency) that can suck up large quantities of debris on the surface or lodged deep in fabrics. The 6ft hose and 12ft cord allow it to go virtually anywhere and clean any surface. It comes with: two 20 inch extensions to clean tough to reach areas, "Pik-All" nozzle is one of the most commonly used attachments, air maximizer to regulate pressure, inflator adapter for mattresses, dust brush to pick up light debris, 4 micro crevice tools so you get into the most difficult to reach places and a shoulder strap.. Additionally you can flip the hose from suck to blow for powerful blowing action that can help dry your vehicle, blow out the garage and more. With so many features and functions this vacuum is a great tool for any detailer. This all steel vacuum is very durable and will help you clean quickly and easily for years to come.

Today I detailed my interior. The vacuum of choice was the Metro Vac n blow. I was impressed from the moment I started using it. I couldn't believe how powerfull this little thing is. It got up anything (but stains) that was in its way. And being so small, you can sit it on the floor in a small back seat, or just hold it if need be.

Being a mobile detailer, this is a MUST have.

The Vac n’ Blo is made by Metropolitan Vacuum Cleaner Company, headquartered Suffern, NY. I really like this machine. The Vac n’ Blo is small and portable, has very good suction, and has terrific attachments, including various micro attachments designed specifically for detailing. There are even micro attachments that are useful in vacuuming around dials on the dash, and various other cracks and crevices. The Vac n’ Blo is easy to carry in the car when working. The unit is 17" long and only 7" in diameter. The unit is compact enough that it can be stored in a rectangular wash bucket.

The vital statistics are:
Peak Horse Power: 4.0
Fans: two
Volts: 120
Water lift: 95"
Hose: 6'
Extensions: 20" x 2
Bag Cloth: reusable
All steel construction

The thirteen attachments consist of an upholstery tool, dust brush, crevice tool, blower nozzle, air mattress inflator, four specialty detailing tools, hose, two extensions, and shoulder strap.

The Vac n’ Blo has really good suction. It is rated 95" of water lift. Water lift measures sealed suction, which is suction with no air flow. Unfortunately, the air watts and air flow ratings for the Vac n’ Blo are not specified.

To appreciate the significance of 95" of water lift it is useful to compare the water lift ratings of other canister vacuum cleaners. The Shop-Vac 9991910 is somewhat smaller and lighter than the Vac n’ Blo, and with the deluxe attachment kit sells for about $135 to $150. It is rated 46" of water lift. The much larger Shop-Vac 8500210, which sells for about the same amount as the Vac n’ Blo, is rated 62" of water lift.

I also use the Vac n’ Blo to assist in drying the car, mainly on the glass, which ponds water, and on the wheels, chrome and around the license plate, which are harder to dry with a waffle weave towel. The blower is not really strong enough to efficiently dry the entire car.

Although the Vac n’ Blo is expensive, it is an investment that makes the detailing process easier and more enjoyable. It is a worthy addition to any detailer's arsenal.
